Weekly Roundup and Local Guide Update
Posted by | Posted in Bridal Fashion Advice | Posted on 27-08-2010
I want to thank everyone for following along as I launched the new EAD local wedding guides! I absolutely love all of the new EAD bride bloggers and want to thank everyone who took the time to comment on their first few posts and get to know them. I can’t wait to follow their stories and hope you feel the same!
As far as the next round of local guides go, there is interest for the following cities, so if you are a bride in these areas and you would like to join the EAD community and blog about your wedding, give me a shout and let’s chat! You must have at least four months to go in your planning process, be able to write once per week about your planning process, and be willing to do a full post-wedding blogging recap. To be eligible, you must not already be contributing to another wedding site (of course, having your own blog is perfectly fine!).

Vendors, a quick note about submissions. For the local wedding guides, you can send both unpublished and previously published weddings for submission, as well as styled shoots, engagement sessions, and any other lovely wedding-related item you have! You can find all of the details to include with your submissions right here. Please let me know in your submission whether the wedding or shoot is published or unpublished.
Here’s a recap of this week on EAD!
- We got to know Portland bride bloggers Risa and Kimberly, and saw a gorgeous styled bridal shoot featuring romantic Elizabeth Dye gowns. And speaking of Portland, I’m *still* in love with this wedding.
- Kim and Jana shared their engagement stories, Jillian and Erin talked about their search for wedding venues in Phoenix and Dallas. Sallie took a pre-marriage course, and Leah recommends two Atlanta bridal boutiques for you dress-hunters out there in the Southeast.
- Juli’s smile is infectious!
- Teresa loves party hats.
- I love Nantucket weddings…
- …and Chicago (although I’m not sure I’m ready for fall, summer just got here already!). Marni is planning a farmers market inspired wedding and Cara is going for old Hollywood glamour.
- YOU love Williams-Sonoma and want to register for your chance to win a $200 gift card!
- The monuments of our Nation’s Capital made an appearance, and we met our two lovely DC-area brides-to-be, Erin and Melissa. A beautiful Dumbarton House wedding topped off this week in DC.
And elsewhere:
- These wedding invitations are spectacular.
- A colorful fiesta-themed birthday party, full of delightful details, and a Fiesta Inspiration Shoot too!
- Kathryn’s delightful Ragtime Romance board is a new favorite.
- I want to jump in this pool.
- Create an elegant and rustic escort card display with Courtney.
This week’s blast from the past:
All of that talk about fiesta themes made me want to revisit Kristen and Matt’s Mexican Fiesta theme wedding.

And last but not least, a little peek at a real wedding that will hit the Nashville local guide next week:

That’s all for this week – I hope you have a lovely weekend!
