Jessica Simpson is happy for Nick Lachey’s wedding planning announcement

Although Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have fielded endless congratulatory praises in the week since they got engaged, it looks as though someone wants to publicly give her well-wishes to the couple as well – Jessica Simpson. 
The blonde bombshell (and Lachey’s infamous ex) called into Ryan Seacrest’s radio show to let the world know that she isn’t locked in her room while stuffing her face with cans of Chicken of the Sea.”I don’t know where all those rumors came from,” Simpson told Seacrest on his show. “My mom actually called me and said that everyone was saying that I was ‘saddened.’ I was just in complete shock. I couldn’t be more happy for Nick.”While there has been plenty of gossip regarding Simpson’s supposed blues, we’re hesitant to believe this is true. Since her divorce from Nick in 2006, the actress and singer has been regularly seen on the arm of different pieces of man candy, ranging from Tony Romo to her current beau, former NFL player Eric Johnson.
