Lily Allen Drops Big Bucks on Two Gowns

New details are emerging on Lily Allens June 11 nuptials, and from what were hearing, the British pop singer is spending a pretty penny to make her wedding day one of the biggest of the year.Allen, 25, dropped nearly $62,000 on not one, but two wedding gowns for the event, reports DailyTelegraph.com.au. Legendary fashion icon Karl Lagerfield, the head designer and creative director of Chanel, is working with the singer to design the dresses. The bride-to-be opted for two gowns after she was unable to decide between a traditional, to-the-floor gown and a shorter, more modern dress. “In the end, Karl suggested she get one of each and decide on the morning which shell wear down the aisle,” a source tells Mirror.co.uk.The singer and her fiance, builder and decorator Sam Cooper, have also dropped some serious cash on heightened security for the big day, according to Ahlanlive.com. “Its not like we demanded they close the roads down,” Allen said. “The only reason I did it was for the residents, otherwise there will be a million photographers driving up and down the roads. Its not really for me.”Allen and Cooper, 32, announced their engagement last December. The bride plans to take the grooms last name after tying the knot next Saturday, reports Mirror.co.uk. “Lily has already told her management and record label bosses that from now on, shell be recording under her married name, Lily Cooper,” an insider told the site.
